The Codex

The Collide Codex.

"We built the map. You build the future."

Part one — the vibe

Collide exists to end the quiet kind of loneliness that creators know too well — the kind you feel in a city full of people who would change your life, if only you knew where they were standing.

We are a proximity-based meeting place for the makers, the founders, the photographers in the next café, the writer two streets away, the developer who just landed in Bali. A platform built on the belief that the right collision — at the right moment, within walking distance — can rearrange a career, a project, sometimes a life.

We don't want followers. We want collaborators. We don't want noise. We want the meeting that mattered. Welcome to the map.

Part two — rules of the map

How we behave here.

Mission over ego.

Collide is for building, not dating. This is not a place to slide into someone's inbox with anything other than a professional reason to talk. Non-professional solicitation — romantic, sexual, or otherwise off-mission — results in an instant, permanent ban. No warnings. No second chances. Protecting the quality of this room is non-negotiable.

Keep your 100%.

We are a matchmaker, not a boss. Collide takes 0% commission on any deal made between users. All payments, contracts, and creative agreements happen off-platform, between you and the people you choose to work with. Your work is yours. Your money is yours. We just made the introduction.

Safety is sacred.

We don't sell your data. Not now, not ever. You control your visibility on the map, who can message you, and how close anyone can get. Ghost Mode is always one tap away. Proximity is a tool — within a 1km radius for real-time collaboration — and respect for physical boundaries is mandatory. If a collaborator says no, the conversation ends there.

Show up like a pro.

Real name or working name. Real craft. Real intent. The people on the other side of the message are doing the same — meet them with the seriousness their work deserves.

The next part is less poetic. But it matters just as much.

Part three — the small print

The legal bit.

Because we live in the real world — and because Collide is global from day one.

Collide is an introduction platform, not a party to your deals. Collide provides a service that helps creatives, founders, and collaborators discover one another based on location, craft, and intent. We do not employ, represent, or supervise the individuals you meet through the platform. Any agreement, contract, payment, brief, deliverable, timeline, or working relationship formed between users is strictly between those users.

We take 0% commission and do not handle payments. Collide does not process, hold, escrow, guarantee, or insure any funds exchanged between users. We are not responsible if a founder fails to pay a creative, if a creative fails to deliver work, if a contract is breached, if a deliverable is rejected, or if a dispute arises between two members. You are responsible for vetting the people you choose to work with and for using appropriate written agreements.

User conduct. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the identity, skills, qualifications, statements, or behavior of any user. While we enforce the Codex above and remove members who violate it, we cannot be held liable for the actions, omissions, communications, or in-person conduct of any user, on or off the platform.

Minimum age — 18+ globally. Collide is for users aged 18 and over, worldwide. This applies regardless of the legal age of digital consent in your country. Accounts found to belong to minors will be removed.

Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Collide, its founder, its team, and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform, your interactions with other users, any deals or collaborations formed through Collide, or any loss of opportunity, revenue, data, or reputation.

Privacy & data — EU users (GDPR). Collide acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the platform. Users in the European Union and the United Kingdom have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, object to the processing of, and delete their personal data, in line with the GDPR and UK GDPR. Requests can be made through the in-app support channel and will be actioned within the legal timeframe. See our standalone [Privacy Policy →] for the full breakdown of what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

Privacy & data — California users (CCPA). Collide does not sell personal data to third parties, as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. California residents retain all rights granted under the CCPA, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt-out of any future sale or sharing of personal information.

Location & Ghost Mode. Location is shared only with your consent and only at the resolution required for proximity features. Ghost Mode allows you to remain on the platform while invisible to other users, at any time, with one tap.

Governing law & your local rights. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Collide is incorporated. Users in the EU retain all rights granted under applicable EU law, including the GDPR. Users in California retain all rights under the CCPA. Nothing in these terms limits the statutory consumer or data-protection rights you have under the law of your country or state of residence.

Dispute resolution. Disputes will be resolved first through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved, either party may pursue resolution through the courts of competent jurisdiction in their country of residence, or through binding arbitration if both parties agree in writing.

Ban appeals. Permanent bans may be contested by contacting hello@mycollide.com within 14 days of the account action. All appeals are reviewed by a human member of the Collide team — not an automated system.

Changes. We may update the Codex and this disclaimer as the community grows and as laws evolve. Material changes will be communicated to active members. Continued use of Collide after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

For privacy, data, or legal inquiries, contact the Collide team through the in-app support channel or at hello@mycollide.com.
